Looks a little different around here, eh?

Yes indeed - welcome to the shiny and new BMWSR.org! Notice all of the fancy features? This forum is powered by the Motorcycle Insight consolidated forum system. What does that mean? Well:
  • Your login here at BMWSR.org is also good on F800Riders.org, S1000Riders.org, and G450Riders.org. If you already have a login for one of those three sites, your 'old' BMWSR.org login has been merged into it, and you're good to go on all of the above sites.
  • Some forums are shared between sites. General discussion, for instance, is open to visitors at each site to collaboratively post in.
  • The Gallery and 'Paddock' are open for immediate use. These are also shared with our BMW riding brethren.
The bad news? If you've never signed up on one of our sister sites, and had an account on the 'old' BMWSR.org (remember - it was blue!) you'll have to reset your password to login. That can be done right here:

Welcome to the new site! Enjoy your stay!

Hi Rob, Well the transition to this site has finally happened. What are all those medals and stars after your name. Are you a George Patton fan or what? I'm getting use to the new software and will prolly get more time after MOA and TOR.

Say's the guy with a bunch of stars and stripes himself.

The medals represent Moderator or Administrator status. The Stars represent the amount of posting. Folks that have sponsored the forum (or will sponsor the forum / a rider) can get medals for themselves.

There are a few different options.

You can either attach it to threads via clicking this image Click the image to open in full size. above the message editor.

Or, you can add it to the gallery, via the link above, or via clinking the "Gallery Uploads" box below the editor when posting. The size limit is huge here (1MB per photo!) and it can easily be inserted into threads on-demand by clicking this button: Click the image to open in full size. above the editor.

Also, there is an option to attach images to motorcycle entries in the Paddock.

Nice looking, What is the message editor?

One of the things that every one seems to forget.............is that there is a lot of computer dummys out there.

I still do not know how to include pics..............I'll figure it out however.......................I hope.

It's the box that you type your message into.

When you click "Post Reply" it comes right up.

I clicked on post reply, I am staring at the box and I do not see what in the world you are talking about.

Would you please be more specific. I post pictures in all kinds of forums and have no problems. I am sure it is staring me in the face..........but..........WTF over.

Dean, if you scroll down below the text box, are you seeing a maroon line titled Additional Options? If you see the line but not the different options below it, click on the cheverons out to the far right to open up the options portion.
