Amazing film!
This year me & my friend (VFR800 VTEC), we had a new year’s resolution: learn how to wheelie on our bikes! I wish that we could achieve this without crashing our bikes!

haha, how else would you treat it? it's a stunt bike...most of my experience on bikes is with japanese inline fours and they can handle the abuse, as i'm sure this bike can.

i'll be sure to properly break in the non stunt one, but this is a stunt bike so at mile 1 the tire starts smoking!

drifting out the rear like that - you always offer to ride with me and I'd love to, but shit like that makes me feel even more unworthy of your presence!!!

So my 800 is just about a stunt bike then, the way I broke it in...in that case.

Teach and several others have treated the 800 as a stunt bike for years.

Chris

Amazing I always assumed it took days of practice with a particular bike to do stuff like that.

I just assumed you had to get a "feel" for the bike, its centre of gravity etc.

BTW: I still think you are mad :-)

Teach, do you end up having to put a dry sump system in for all of those extended vertical periods... or does BMW cover your antics under their warranty/sponsor program

usually add an extra quart of oil...no warranty, haha.

in all honesty, there is very little abuse on the bike from this video. extended hours of stunts is obviously torture to a bike, but they handle it well. a simple dyno run or canyon run would be more abusive than what you see here.

captured some short on board footage at palomar this weekend, need to film a bit more then something new will be up. just started tearing my bike down today

I just found out YESTERDAY that you were down in SD teach... had I known I would have brought my little boys (2.5 and 4.5) to watch you tear it up. Bummer. They both love your videos. I was ALSO out at Palomar on Sunday, a little sketchy at the top with the snow melt running across the road.

Were you going up/down the tight side, fast side, or both? Did the S1 live up to your expectations?

sorry i missed them...not even sure what/where we went. bike is everythign i hoped it would be. i keep saying it feels ilke my honda 6rr which is the highest compliment i can give a bike...i've ridden all the 09's in the canyons as part of a test and the honda was the best...this bike beats that by a long show.

i have the base model and like to get some slides here and there. i'll have more soon

Yep, I demoed it on Tuesday, getting ready to go down to tomorrow to put a deposit down. I was seriously considering the CBR1000RR, but after that demo ride that became a distant memory.

That video is sweet, nice work, keep em coming. I am a fairly tame rider compared to you. I am mostly a route rider, trying to ride all of this great country of ours and try to cover as much of the rest of the world as possible. If you have any fun routes that I might be interested in trying, please post them at my online map at allstate insurance route map or allstate insurance moto map. I am an affiliate of allstate and thus I am using their web pages for my own use. Thanks
